I want to know what is the best type of phone that I should use for my business? Would it be unprofessional to use a cell phone? I have a cell phone , that I have had for years, the area code does not even match the state in which I stay in now. Should I get a separate cell phone for my business?

Insurance lead development is easier than you think if you use the web. Lead Generation on the Internet works. The following contain powerful lead development information which will enable you to find a higher number of customers more quickly.

In fact, there have been many lead development methods for insurance that have been around for years. This article will focus on Online lead generation tools including social media, SEO, email and blogging. It will also briefly discuss CRM options that assist in record leads and do an appropriate job of following up with sales leads.

It is obvious that the Internet is a very competitive Marketing medium and the more focused you become in your appoach the stronger you will perform in the insurance market.

Don’t expect it to be fast and easy. Not only does your company have some insurance businesses working to beat your company, but there are also independent contractors, lead capture websites that sell leads, web authors that earn income by ad payments, blog authors blogging about insurance and others posting a bunch of information about the topic.

Our best lead generation advice is something that will enable you to capture relevant insurance prospects in your region. Try to focus locally. Strategically, the publication of information together of a product people are searching for and a state or city is an effective strategy because a person that is finding you is probably a shopper that is localand likely to purchase soon. Also, you are helping the searcher out because they are Googling for a local location.

I know some sales people will not want to narrow down because they can sell in a bigger territory. Just keep in mind if you wish to get more targeted leads then there is a good chance you should be more concentrated on local insurances and you will find that despite less broad traffic you will reach doing research and much more likely to purchase most of the time.

The next piece of advice is writing a marketing plan with a focus on Inbound Marketing around online information posting and publishing. Notice I am not talking about social media yet. There are many different kinds of posting information that are on the web but not social. For example, using a press release site and adding a press area on the company site. This is not social media but will certainly generate more website traffic. Blogging can be effective with comments turned off should it be desired and would be a strategy to further develop Search Ranking and website visitors, even though it is not very social.

Do not overdo the social side. With social media, you must be using Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Do not just use these things to use them. They all have groups included to use and these social websites give you the ability to participate in focused groups and go to events with people that are could be in need of your services. This can help you go from very random to a targeted and focused insurance prospect generation method quickly.

Another tip. Email is still a great tool. Email marketing should be very effective at building relationships and very affordable. Our teams use aWeber to put the process on autopilot with prospects and offer something of solid value to visitors to the websites and blogs that want to request the free reports or free stuff we are providing to benefit them.

Begin by asking yourself what your best potential leads value. For example, instead of talking about your product, talk about the benefit to the prospect. Does it cut risk? Or will it increase sales?

Once the insurance prospect understands just how your company is going to benefit them in reaching a goal, they become an engaged, hot lead ready to buy which is better than going door to door in the snow.

Lastly, you must look at a customer management software. If you are in a big business in the insurance industry and they should have a standard sales management software. But if that is not true you should use tracking software to record your sales opportunities and make sure you are trying to close the sales. You would be shocked to find out how lots of great prospects get lost just because of never following up.

CRM is what people call customer relationship management systems. All organizations should have a sales system for recording leads and sales.

If you are a sales professional and you are looking for ways to generate more leads, this is the lead generation article for you.

We are going to list 5 ways that people can contact you and become a lead.

LinkedIn – Your profile should not just be about work. It should be about how your help people and how they can contact you. Also participate in the groups and answers to meet more people and generate more LinkedIn Leads.

Twitter – Don’t just post things, also read what other people are talking about and looking for. You can find great leads on twitter if you just help people out – use the search feature.

Blogging – blogging is a great SEO tool for lead generation. Take the time needed to add a clear call to action on your site so that people find you through search and then contact you to find out more about what you have to offer. A blog can be one of your best lead generation tools.

Email signature – as old as this may be, make your email signature interesting. You probably email a lot of people that are not in your pipeline in a given day, and you never know if they see your interesting signature, maybe they will click and want to learn more – and become a hot sales lead for you.

Webinars – You can do cheap and even free webinars that you can sign up interested people and take them through your presentation that is built to educate the audience as well as pre-sell them on your offering.

SEO is Search Engine Optimization – and it is critical for online lead generation. SEO is when you do a combination of keyword research, good website architecture and publish great content that uses the keywords. Then you also need to build good quality links to your site with the keywords in those links to boost your ranking in search engines.

SEO will work if you give it time and have some expertise in how search engines work. It is also critical that you have a clear call to action.

If you only do SEO and you do not have a way to capture leads, and you do not have an offer for someone to become your lead, you are going to succeed at SEO but still fail to generate online leads because more traffic by itself is rarely good for anything.

So if you are looking for a way to combine SEO and online lead generation, try taking the free lead generation course and then build yourself a lead generation engine and put the Internet to work for you.

One of the things many people make mistakes with is the idea that your online lead generation efforts are only for leads that are doing searches online. Of course, that is the main goal. But your online lead generation funnel is waiting for people to enter it regardless of how they found it.

So if you build a great online lead generation engine and have a great offer – something like “Sign up for our free video course…” then you have a great tool for getting off line leads to opt into your online lead funnel.

For example, if I am at an event I will give people a separate card that tells them where to go to get their free video course on a topic. The people that are interested in that topic are going to go do it when they are going through the business cards they collected the next day. The ones that are not interested in your topic will not.

Now you have a group of people that you met at an event that you know are your hotest leads. They are actively interested in the topic.

Since you probably have their business card as well, then you know their phone number – even if they did not put it into the online form. So following up with the lead (after they have had time to see your free product is easy.

Online Lead + Offline Lead = Hot Lead

Here are some great tools that are free online tools for generating leads.

Before I list the lead generation tools, I want to let you know how to generate leads with the tools.

The idea behind these is that you publish a good, targeted article on a topic your clients might be searching on. While reading the article, either within the article or at the end of the article you have a link to your website that captures leads. For example, if you are selling organic gardening, you could end the article by saying, “For 10 more tips on organic gardening, visit…” That way someone that is interested in the topic knows where to go for more information. And to get those additional tips, you should require their email address.

So where can you publish these articles to get high visibility in search engines and dive people over to your lead generation engine to make you more money?

eZine Articles – Very popular article publishing location.

Squidoo - Great way to add an article and also integrate your RSS feeds.

Hubpages – This one requires that you are careful in your writing as you are not supposed to promote yourself.

WordPress.com – Write a free blog and use tags to get higher visibility and more leads.

GoArticles – Another article repository that is popular.

These are just some of the free online lead generation tools you can use. Remember that they only work well if you have done a good job of building an online lead generation engine that is producing results.
