How to generate more sales leads

If you use networking for lead generation you need to have a strategy – not just a wish to meet the right people.

Here are some tips to get more leads from networking.

  1. Keep your message simple and focus on the benefit you provide.
  2. Have a call to action – such as signing up for a free thing on the web to find out more.  Make sure people you meet know about it.
  3. Follow up with people
  4. Ask for referrals if they mention they know people that might be able to use your product or service.  Offer to do a 3 way call with them, the prospect and you.
  5. Introduce people that you meet to each other – this gives you greater appeal and a better reason to follow up later.
  6. Find out about people in advance.  Before attending a networking event, find out who will be there and learn about people that might be a good match for you.

These are just some of the important things you can do to turn a networking event into a lead generation event.
