How to generate more sales leads

This is a how to guide for landing pages.

How do you create a landing page that generates sales and leads?  Landing pages are critical to lead generation.

  1. Video – video is shown to greatly increase the landing page effectiveness.
  2. Headline – Your headline must grab the attention of your target market.
  3. Social Proof – the more testimonials and examples of success you have, the more effective your landing page will be.
  4. Long copy – while many people hate long copy sales pages, they exist because they have been shown to work.  The logic goes like this – if someone is not currently interested in your product at this time, long or short copy does not matter because they will not buy.  If someone is interested, the long copy landing page will reinforce the buying decision.  In the event that it is more than necessary, the visitor will just jump to the bottom of the landing page and get to buying.
  5. Benefits – not features.   You have to write about the great benefits of your product to the visitor.  Sell the outcome of using your product, not the product itself.  Would you be more inclined to buy a weight loss pill that helps you lose 10 pounds in two weeks or a weight loss pill that tastes like grapes?
  6. Use images, video and audio and any other media to help capture attention and appeal to the learning style of every type of visitor.
  7. Use social media to drive people to the landing page.  Social media is a recommendation and it brings in a stronger opportunity.
