I was considering the fact that the US has lost its sense of demonstration and revolt. However, the climate seems ripe. Consider that we are in a great recession, having many of youths fighting overseas, and our kids improperly educated to compete in a global market. This youngest generation is often referenced as the "lost generation", for they have always been told that they will be given a key to the world, yet the world may not have room for them. They are the first generation that is expected to have a lower quality of life than their parents. So they are coming out of college and there are no jobs, nothing for them to do. The political climate is at a peak in terms of activity.
Will they be the generation to lead a revolt?
They don’t need to revolt – just to stand up and work to make society a better place. Alas, this will not happen they lack the willpower, stamina and determination to make any difference. They are content to sit at home playing video games and smoking pot. The majority of them can barely care for themselves – they actually get checks from the government to keep them from trying to work anyway.
PS This answer is in no way an endorsement of the current political situation – just a sad observation.

Some of you guys are the problem. You possess no hope for our future. I, on the other hand, have hope. I have hope that my generation can do great things. Not all of us sit around, do drugs, or get everything from mommy or daddy. SOME of us are actually very hard workers, are determined about our future, and will do whatever it takes to make this world a pleasant place to live in.
I don’t know what your definition of revolt is, but if you mean we’ll show doubters what we’re actually made of, yes, we will revolt.
