Set 20+ years after "V the original Miniseries" a story that started in 1983 as part of a 2 part mini series, it would lead to 1984′s "V: The Final Battle" and a 19 episode sequel storry "V The Tv Series"
Aliens, called the Visitors come to earth showing us warmth and friendship. They offer us their technology and help with many of our problems in exchange for certain chemicals that they claim will save their dying planet.
As people start to dissapear (mostly scientists) however, questions begin to rise, and a lone reporter uncovers a nasty truth. In a Fascist way, the Visitors (AKA Nazis) have taken over the planet without firing a shot. They are after food (people) and water (our rivers and oceans)
Joining a resisitance, he begins to free the planet.
At the end of Original Miniseries however, the resistance learns that there was a alien force that once defeated the Visitors in battle and send a radio message of plea for help into outer space.
Now 20 years
have passed (Final Battle and tv series never happened) and earth is on the verge of total annihalation. The Visitors are in complete control.
The resistance has grown stronger but is not yet ready to strike. And their plea for help has finally been answered.
three beings of supreme powers appear on earth, but can they be trusted to help the resistance.
"Twenty years ago the Earth was taken. Now its time to take it Back".
I have not read the V:Second Generation, though now I will. Its interesting, I remember quite a few of the old books, and they were a little hit or miss.
I have. I’ll need to read it again. Some of the things don’t match up to the original it seems. There are some original characters but mostly new ones. I had some issues with how some of the characters were handled but without spoiling the book I won’t go into details.
