How to generate more sales leads

No matter what you think about lead generation, it is important to remember that it is only one part of the sales equation.

Sales Conversion – or your close rate – is another important factor.

Would you rather get 30 leads and close 5% or get 10 leads and close 20%?  Leads are just part of the sales process and finding new ways to increase leads, increase your close rate and increase the dollar value of each sale are all important factors in increasing your sales volume and building a more profitable business.

Then, after all that work is done you have retention.  If you do not have retention issues, what about repeat buyers?

What about referrals and word of mouth?

The first thing I realized when I started working on these kinds of issues in a serious manner is that there is not one magic bullet.  For me, that was to say that there was no one software package that could measure everything and improve everything.  It is really hard work to increase sales, increase lead generation and increase your close rate.  But it is worth it.
